The UCLA International Institute and its 25 centers and programs run a busy public events programs that spans lectures, symposia, panel discussions, book talks, conferences and artistic events. These events are frequently recorded and made available to the public, both on the institute website, individual center/program YouTube channels and Facebook pages. To date, we have published 812 podcasts and over 226 videos.

In this virtual talk, Lutforahman Saeed (Visiting Scholar and Islamic Law Lecturer, Birgham Young University Law School, Provo) discussed women's right to healthcare in Islamic law, outlining its foundations in the Qur'an, the Prophet's Sunnah, and the core objectives of Sharia, and examining how these principles compare with the Taliban's restrictive policies on women's access to medical education and healthcare services.
On February 25 at UCLA, Ambassador Ronen Hoffman—scholar, former diplomat, and peace negotiator—presented the Center's Harry C. Sigman Distinguished Lecture on future trajectories for Israel and the Middle East in the post-October 7 era.
