Akshara Chitturi
Undergraduate Intern
Akshara is a third-year undergraduate student majoring in Political Science with a minor in Global Studies. She is passionate about studying regional conflicts in the MENA regions, with particular interests in global diplomacy, peacekeeping, and human rights. She is also interested in furthering her knowledge of international development and examining the poverty trap in the Global South. On campus, Akshara serves as the Fundraising Director for Period @ UCLA, is involved in CALPIRG, and is part of the External Vice President’s Student Lobby Corps. She is currently a campaign intern for candidate Libby Schaaf who is running for California State Treasurer. After graduation, Akshara plans on attending law school to study International Law. In her free time, she enjoys dancing, traveling, and visiting different eateries and cafes.
