Could you tell us about your journey to UCLA?
Graduate studies at UCLA were a great experience and an important step in my education and career development as a researcher.
Could you speak about your career and how it has progressed since graduating from UCLA?
Prior to joining Simon Fraser University, I held positions of Visiting Lecturer at the UCLA School of Engineering and Applied Science; Member of Technical Staff at AT&T Bell Laboratories; Research Scientist at Bell Communications Research; and Visiting Professor at the University of California, Berkeley.
What inspired or motivated you to pursue work abroad? Was this always your plan?
I preferred to pursue a career in academia and, hence, accepted an offer for a tenure-track position abroad.
